That’s why we’re really excited to be involved in Premier Paper’s Carbon Capture® initiative!
What is Carbon Capture®?
Carbon capture is nature’s way of hitting the reset button. It’s about taking CO2 from the atmosphere (or from industrial processes) and storing it safely, so it doesn’t contribute to the greenhouse effect. Trees are fantastic at this. Through photosynthesis, they breathe in CO2 and breathe out oxygen which is great for the environment.
Planting Trees
We’re not just talking the talk; we’re walking the walk (or rather, planting the trees!) Through Premier Paper, we have teamed up with The Woodland Trust to be part of their amazing Carbon Capture® program. This means we can help offset the CO2 from paper production by helping to grow new woodlands.
As a Premier Paper’s customer, we can utilise the Carbon Capture® scheme to mitigate the CO2 emissions generated by the production, storage and distribution of the paper and materials we purchase through them. We think it’s a fantastic way to give back to the environment and help our customers promote sustainability with their sampling solutions.
Why is Carbon Capture So Important?
Carbon capture projects, like the tree planting we support, are a win-win for everyone:
Less Greenhouse Gases: Taking CO2 out of the air helps slow down climate change and reduce the effects of greenhouse gas emissions on the environment.
Happy Wildlife: New forests create homes for lots of creatures and animals, boosting biodiversity and helping ecosystems to thrive.
Cleaner Air: Trees act like natural air filters, making our communities healthier so we can all breathe happily.
Beautiful Landscapes: More trees mean more green spaces for us all to enjoy, which is great for our mental health as well as the health of the planet.
